How to open a minor account with ArihantPlus?

Opening a minor demat and trading account with ArihantPlus is simple and completely free. To open a demat and trading account for your child, you need to submit a filled physical account opening form along with required documents (seal & signed by the guardian) and submit it to your nearest Arihant office or courier it to us.  

Here’s a list of all documents and information needed to open a minor account: 

Documents You’ll Need 

All forms and documents must be sealed and signed by the guardian on behalf of the minor. Here’s a quick checklist: 

1. Application Forms 

• Minor’s Account Opening Form (PDF) 
• Guardian KYC Form (PDF) 

2. PAN 

• Minor’s PAN card copy, attested by the guardian 
• Guardian’s self-attested PAN card copy 

3. Date of Birth Proof
Any one of these for the minor (attested by the guardian): 

• Birth certificate (English extract if not in English) 
• School leaving certificate 
• Passport 
• Mark sheet from a recognized board 

4. Photographs 

• Passport-size photo of the minor 
• Passport-size photo of the guardian 

5. Bank Proof
Any one of the following for the minor’s bank account: 

• Cancelled cheque 
• Latest bank statement or passbook copy 

6. Legal Guardian Letter
Required only if the guardian is not the child’s parent. 

7. Address Proof 

• Minor’s address proof (attested by guardian): Passport or masked Aadhaar 
• Guardian’s self-attested proof: Passport, masked Aadhaar, driving license, or voter ID 

✅ If both the guardian and minor are KYC-verified, PAN and address proofs aren’t required again. 

Mobile Number and Email 

A Minor can open a Demat & Trading account using the guardian’s email ID and mobile number. When the minor client turns 18, their personal email address and mobile number must be updated . 

In-Person Verification (IPV) 

As per SEBI guidelines, both the guardian and the minor need to complete In-Person Verification (IPV). This step ensures that the people opening the account match the documents submitted. You can do this online at signup.arihantplus.com/ipv: 

1. A 4-digit OTP will appear on the screen. 

2. Enable your camera and show the OTP while both the guardian and minor are clearly visible. 

Submitting Your Documents 

Once everything is filled and signed: 

1. Email scanned copies of your forms to forms@arihantplus.com for checking. 

2. Once reviewed, courier the original signed forms and supporting documents to:
