3. Can Rights Entitlements be traded or sold?
Yes, Rights Entitlements are tradable on the stock exchange for a limited period. You can sell (or even buy) REs on NSE/BSE, just like a regular share.
- Seller: If you do not wish to subscribe to the rights issue, you can sell your REs during the trading window and make some profit from it.
- Buyer: If you are not a shareholder of the company and wish to apply for its right issue, you can buy the RE during its trading window.
